Cabrera Medina/Cabrera Medina Group is repeating the 1987 initiative featuring SEAT España in which the artist César Manrique was commissioned to paint that year’s Seat Ibiza model.
No sooner had it become the official representative for SEAT, the Cabrera Medina Group started looking into the idea of replicating César’s artwork on the new Seat Ibiza models.
Nearly 30 years ago, César Manrique applied his art to a Seat Ibiza (pintura sobre automóvil / art car) that was shown at the Barcelona International Motor Show in 1987 and christened with the surname of the artist.
Cabrera Medina has strong ties to César Manrique through the group’s logo and now through the car he painted almost 30 years ago. This initiative has been made possible by the invaluable collaboration of SEAT España and the César Manrique Foundation.
